Step into medieval Leuven and meet history face to face. We built a VR journey that starts on the Grote Markt and travels back to the 14th century. Visitors walked the same streets as Pieter Coutereel and witnessed life among guilds and markets. A mix of sketches, sound, and storytelling turned the past into an adventure you could feel.

A Virtual Voyage to Medieval Leuven
Step into the past literally! For Heritage Day, Mojuice crafted a time-traveling VR adventure that dropped visitors straight into 14th-century Leuven. The journey began on the modern-day Grote Markt, in front of the iconic town hall. With just a gaze through the VR headset, users were transported to a time when Pieter Coutereel, steward to the Duke of Brabant, roamed the cobbled streets.
One blink later, the contemporary city melted away, revealing a vivid world of medieval guilds, bustling markets, and political power plays. The expedition wrapped up at Coutereel's statue where history and the present shook hands.
History That Speaks (and Looks) to You
Mojuice brought the past to life through hand-sketched environments and immersive sound design. Authentic settings painted the backdrop, while a captivating voice-over spoken from Pieter Coutereel's own perspective immersed users in the drama of patricians versus craftsmen. Together, the sights and sounds wove a historical experience you didn't just see, but truly felt.
